Insurance and Financial Concerns

Having cancer and managing your side effects can be challenging, and financial concerns can be very stressful. You might be worried about how you will pay for your treatments or support yourself and your loved ones while you are fighting your disease. You are not alone-many resources are available to help you plan your finances and receive aid, if needed.

ACS, ASCO and NCI have information about health insurance and financial assistance programs specifically designed for patients with cancer. ACS also has general information for managing your money and applying for aid.

As always, talk to your oncology nurse if you are worried about your finances. He or she can refer you to information and resources when you need financial help.
