Welcome to the CancerJourney.org Web site!

The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) has designed this site for anyone who is dealing with cancer and its symptoms. Symptoms are the same as side effects, which may be caused by cancer or by cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Having cancer can be overwhelming, and the side effects can make it quite difficult to perform normal living activities. You want to survive as well as maintain a good quality of life throughout your treatment and beyond.

You are not alone. This site can help you throughout your cancer experience by answering your questions and providing resources.

What makes this site different? ONS is made up of more than 37,000 cancer nurses and other healthcare professionals. These members are experts in treating and minimizing the side effects of cancer and its treatments. This Web site draws on ONS's research to give you tips for managing side effects, such as fatigue, nausea and vomiting, pain, depression, and eating problems. Plus, we can help you find resources to manage other aspects of your cancer experience.

Visit us often-we look forward to partnering with you on your journey!
